Life On A Sunday

8:48 AM

I know I've taken a bit of a hiatus from the blogging world the past week, but life has been so busy. Busy=good though, so in my head I'm a very lucky girl.

Besides the fact that my best friend got married a week ago yesterday, my boyfriend and I headed to the coast for an amazing 5 day trip! Stops included Cambria/San Simeon, Monterey, and Santa Cruz (among others). We had the best time, and I can't wait to take him back. I loved hearing the 'oh my goshes' come from the passenger seat as we drove through Big Sur, and the happiness on his face the first time he saw the Boardwalk.

I'm so glad I found a guy that can double as my travel buddy.

So here are some pictures from our latest escapades! I can't wait to get the professional wedding pictures back, so I can share them as well.

The final dress fitting!

I love the back of that beautiful dress!

She was all smiles - good sign ;)

The Bridesmaids!

The married couple!

It was such an amazing (dare I say perfect) wedding, that I am so blessed to have been a part of! Seeing two of your best friends tie the knot, while being surrounded by amazing family and friends...was just bliss. Plus I was lucky enough to have my boyfriend there as well. I know I say it a lot - but I am truly blessed, and I must not forget it.

Following the wedding, we immediately (well a day or so later) hopped in our car and headed to the CA coast. Our first stop was San Simeon and Hearst Castle! I'd been to Hearst Castle when I was a youngin', but I didn't remember the shear magnitude of how overwhelming it really was. I remembered the view mostly...and the many statues. But this time, I appreciated it so much more. It made me want to work at state parks just so I could swim in that pool once a year!

Me being a goober, basically.

After San Simeon and Cambria, in which we had the most amazing pizza, we headed through Big Sur, which was absolutely breathtaking!
Elephant seal beach.

This litte guy (well big guy) was my favorite.

After spending some ample time in Santa Cruz on the boardwalk, sleeping and walking on the beach, and spending out nights in the Santa Cruz mountain town of Ben Lemond, we headed up Highway 1 once again and ended our trip by taking our annual anniversary picture in San Francisco on the end of Pier 39. On our very first date back in 2008, when Jimmy flew up to see me, I took him to SF, and we had out first picture taken on the end of Pier 39, and it's become a tradition to take on there every year since.

Our very first picture together back in 2008!

I hope you enjoyed ALL these latest pictures! And hopefully there will be more trips and wonderful memories coming up soon!

xoxo!
